Cozy in Cashmere

This time of year is always the chilliest in California. With December being one of the coldest months, I find a lot of my cozy moments through wearing cashmere. I can’t say enough good things about the softness and quality of their cashmere line. I know I want to wear it every day, and this holiday season, you will see me wearing it on repeat!

It is why I thought to share with you a little story about the meticulous process that it takes to produce such amazing quality product. It makes me appreciate what I am wearing even more!

It all begins by sourcing their cashmere wool, and it comes all the way from Inner Mongolia. Drastic temperature ranges of -40 Celsius in winter and +40 Celsius in summer are what contributes to top quality cashmere wool.  In order to then prepare for knitting, the cashmere wool needs to go through a nearly obsessive processes of combing, scouring, dehairing, and spinning. Once that process is complete, they further clean and remove any stray or course fibers. At this point the cashmere wool is ready for knitting! Not to mention they also use more yarn in a tighter and sleeker knit to create an excellency in smoothness. This prepared wool is then formed into sweaters, cardigans, scarves and so on. It is through these processes that they create their beautiful knitwear and I couldn’t be a bigger fan!
